Project Cost Controller – Grangemouth – £47,000 – support cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting on a major engineering project.
A strong opportunity to join a busy and established industrial environment. Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, is seeking a Project Cost Controller to join their team in Grangemouth.
This role focuses on supporting cost management, forecasting, and commercial reporting across a live project within a fast-paced engineering environment.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting month-end cost and revenue reporting across projects in Grangemouth
- Forecasting actual vs budget and analysing cost performance and risks
- Managing cost tracking, accruals, and provisions for labour, materials, and subcontractors
- Supporting change management including variations, early warnings, and compensation events
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to monitor costs and project spend
What experience you need:
- Proven track record in a Project Cost Controller or similar role within construction, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, ideally NEC4 Option B
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience in cost reporting and forecasting
- Experience using SAP or similar financial systems, with Power BI knowledge desirable
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse cost, risk, and project performance
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £47,000 salary
- Permanent position
- 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid working (up to 2 days from home)
