M&E Project Manager

Salary: Up to £70k inclusive of car allowance plus excellent benefits

Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm

A well-established and highly respected Building Services Provider is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to join its growing team in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business delivering high-value projects across Healthcare, Education, Commercial, District Heating, Defence, and Hospitality sectors throughout Central Scotland.

You will play a key leadership role in delivering projects ranging from £100k to £4m, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

M&E Project Manager Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the M&E Project Manager will take full ownership of allocated M&E projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage M&E projects to defined cost, time, and quality targets
  • Act as the single point of contact for clients
  • Manage internal teams, subcontractors, and support departments
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety and quality systems
  • Deliver projects within budget while optimising cost and quality
  • Produce and manage M&E and commissioning programmes
  • Oversee procurement processes to meet programme requirements
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Manage RFIs and technical queries with design teams
  • Support the Quantity Surveyor with valuations, reports, and forecasts
  • Monitor and report project progress internally and externally
  • Manage change control and commercial recovery
  • Ensure commissioning, O&M manuals, and client training are delivered to company standards
  • Build strong client relationships to support repeat business

 

The successful candidate:

  • Proven experience delivering commercial M&E projects (£100k–£4m)
  • A demonstrable track record of successful project delivery
  • CSCS Card Holder
  • SMSTS
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in IT systems including Excel, Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint
  • Awareness of estimating, purchasing, technical, and commercial processes
