Project Duration: 2.5 Years
Sector: Asbestos
Services Provided: Specialist Asbestos Personnel | Industrial & Environmental Labour Supply | Temporary Workforce Solutions

Project Overview

As part of the decommissioning of Aberthaw Power Station, OMEGA Environmental Services was appointed to undertake a major programme of licensed asbestos removal works ahead of the site’s demolition.

The project involved the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials from multiple high-risk areas, including the Boiler Houses, Turbine Halls and associated plant rooms. With close coordination needed between asbestos removal, scaffolding and demolition teams, maintaining a skilled workforce throughout the 2.5 year programme was essential to keeping the project on schedule while meeting the highest standards of safety and compliance.
