As a Systems Engineer, your expertise will be instrumental in the specification and programming of PLC-based control systems. Your role is critical in shaping the industrial landscape, with projects predominantly within the UK, and the occasional prospect of international travel to broaden your professional horizon.

The role demands a strategic mind, capable of advising and assisting in the design of sophisticated PLC systems and communication networks. Your acumen will be vital in producing accurate project estimations, quotations, and tenders. You will skilfully organise and manage resources, ensuring the seamless execution of projects. Your role extends to engineering management, generating essential documentation, and enhancing both employee and client knowledge in systems design and development.

Financial astuteness is key, as you will support project managers in budgeting and bid processes. Your ability to foster client relationships through site visits and meetings is paramount, as is managing customer accounts with finesse. A commitment to upholding the highest quality standards and regulatory compliance is expected.

Candidates should possess extensive programming knowledge across multiple PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms, ideally Siemens and Rockwell. Experience in the complete electrical control system project lifecycle, from conception to commissioning and support, is essential. Proficiency in industrial network protocols, Variable Speed Drive systems, and hardware-based safety control systems is crucial. An understanding of electrical control, safety systems, and the capability to produce electrical schematic designs will set you apart.
