Mech Tech Professionals are seeking a skilled individual to join an esteemed Engineering team, dedicated to delivering top-tier instrument and control solutions both internally and for a diverse external clientele.

As an integral member reporting to the Engineering Manager, your expertise will be instrumental in crafting wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials, and ensuring the seamless specification of control systems and instruments. Your vigilance will maintain the calibration register, guaranteeing instruments are primed for testing. Your acumen will interpret design requirements, forging robust User Requirement Specifications for suppliers, and modifying PLC and data acquisition systems to enhance test rig operations.

Your role will extend to selecting project components, authoring test plans, and commissioning control systems. Your insights will be invaluable during site surveys, customer presentations, and business development meetings, providing technical support that propels the bid process forward. As a beacon of knowledge, you will contribute to networking initiatives, graduate development, and the continuous improvement of information flow within the organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess a BEng in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a 2.1 level pass or equivalent, alongside significant experience in specifying instrumentation for automation or test rigs. A robust understanding of PLCs and Data Acquisition systems, coupled with the ability to make minor control system modifications, is essential.
