About this Role

Mech Tech is seeking a Site Coordinator to oversee the on-site operations of a cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, spanning across two sites in Buckinghamshire and Essex. This role is not just a job; it’s a chance to contribute to the future of sustainable energy.

As the linchpin of the project, the Site Coordinator will ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe execution of all works. The role demands a candidate with a robust background in site management, well-versed in EPC contracts, industry best practices, and technologies. A track record of managing and coordinating large-scale projects, particularly in BESS or similar MV environments, is essential.

The position offers the flexibility of working predominantly on-site, with the option to work from home when presence on-site is not imperative. Additionally, the role includes the potential for travel to future sites across the UK and possibly other European countries.

Responsibilities include:

– Orchestrating the coordination of all workers, suppliers, and contractors for NHOA’s scope of work.
– Upholding the role of HSE representative on-site, ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment regulations under CDM.
– Managing construction site documentation, maintaining meticulous records of project progress, and documenting with photographs.
– Monitoring project timelines, identifying risks, and communicating potential delays to the Project Manager.
– Overseeing equipment deliveries, conducting inspections, and maintaining quality records.
– Conducting daily briefings with site teams to outline work plans and ensure alignment with project goals.
– Ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and managing design changes effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess:

– A strong grasp of H&S and Environmental regulations, Quality standards, and industry best practices.
– SMSTS certification and CSCS card.
– Electrical Safety Training.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
– Excellent command of English, with additional language skills advantageous.
– A valid driving licence.
